Land degradation

Land degradation

Our Crowddroner Emmanuel captured this map in Tanzania. For the past five years, he has been working on a climate change project in the Arusha region, the northern part of Tanzania, to map and assess the extent of land degradation using UAVs. This increased the understanding of the vital dynamics of land degradation and the potential mitigations. In this orthomosaic map, you can see the incredible detail with which we can see the trees in this forest. With drones, we can monitor their health, extent, and the overall status of the forest to assess its condition and intervene when needed.

I have been passionate about socio-economic development works since I was a graduate student more than four years ago. Throughout my working experience, I have channeled this passion into a career that entirely aims at helping communities in climate change mitigations hence improving their livelihoods. - Emmanuel Richard Nasolwa
