The two impact startups, FLOX and GLOBHE, announced a new partnership today to take the next step in wildlife monitoring and management. Through this partnership, FLOX, a startup focusing on helping humans and wildlife coexist in harmony, gets access to a broad range of wildlife data from the Crowddroning by GLOBHE platform. The SaaS platform connects thousands of drone operators worldwide. This collaboration will provide better insights on wildlife activity in various places of the world to stakeholders and decision-makers to prevent the increasing human-wildlife conflict in areas such as agriculture, forestry, and infrastructure.
“This is an example of what two impact-oriented startups can do once they join forces together. GLOBHE has built an impressive platform, Crowddroning, that connects drone pilots all over the world to gather earth data at a fast pace. Through this collaboration, FLOX is able to build upon this data by effectively mapping out wildlife in certain locations and training our AI to better prevent the human-wildlife conflict”, says Sara Nozkova, CEO & Co-founder of FLOX.
"Incredible when fast-moving startups join forces to change old inefficient ways and create a more sustainable future while doing so. The partnership with FLOX is a no-brainer. Their AI makes sure data from drones spit out crucial information faster to prevent human-wildlife conflict, and we provide them with the data to be able to do so at scale. From talk to walk in just a few days", says Helena Samsioe, CEO & Founder of GLOBHE.
FLOX is turning what was previously a human-wildlife conflict to a new way of managing and protecting natural resources in shared landscapes such as agricultural, young forests, reforestation areas, and infrastructure, in turn preventing agricultural expansion into natural wildlife habitats and avoiding collisions with wildlife.
GLOBHE is a drones as a service company that provides Earth observations by drones for a sustainable future. Crowddroning by GLOBHE sends out drones globally through our crowd of local drone operators collecting high-resolution data, which helps businesses, organizations and researchers understand the world and take action.
FLOX is a Stockholm-based startup on a mission to reimagine coexistence with wildlife, with the aim to offer affordable tailor-made services provided by autonomous drones to protect crops and young plants from wildlife-related damages.
GLOBHE is a Stockholm-based startup that taps into drones globally through their crowd of local drone operators collecting high-resolution data, which helps businesses, organizations, and researchers understand the world and take action.
