The Global Sales Manager role at Globhe is a dynamic and strategic position, offering an exciting opportunity for a seasoned professional to drive the company's growth on a global scale. As the Global Sales Manager and part of a small sales team, you will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive sales strategies to expand Globhe's footprint, part of building and growing it. You will be reporting directly to our Chief Business Development Officer.
In this central role, you will leverage your extensive experience in sales and business development to cultivate relationships with key clients, identify new market opportunities, and contribute to the overall scaling of the business. As a key person to help us grow, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, providing insights and guidance to shape product development and enhance customer experiences.
The successful candidate will possess a proven track record of driving revenue growth in a global context, excellent communication and negotiation skills, an understanding of GIS, and marketplace business models.
What you'll do - key responsibilities
Creating Revenue Streams
At its core, sales is about generating revenue. As part of sales, you are responsible for maintaining existing revenue streams and creating new ones. You will do this by focusing on the complete sales cycle: identifying potential clients, understanding their needs, and offering solutions that align with Globhe’s drone data portfolio and ultimately negotiating and closing the deals.
You play a central role in expanding Globhe’s market reach. Identifying new opportunities and entering different geographical areas or market segments to help Globhe reach into previously untapped revenue sources. This market expansion is an essential element of a company’s growth strategy.
Retaining customers is more cost-effective than acquiring new ones. You are instrumental in this regard. By nurturing relationships with existing customers, ensuring they’re satisfied with the company’s offerings, and promptly addressing any concerns or needs, you can help create a loyal customer base. This ensures steady revenue and can lead to additional business through referrals and upselling.
Innovation and Product Development
You are a bridge between the market and the organization’s product or service development. They gather valuable feedback from customers and prospects, identifying pain points, needs, and trends. This information is then relayed to product development and marketing teams, guiding the creation of new products or improving existing ones. Innovation is a critical driver of growth, and the sales team is on the frontline of this process.
Market Knowledge and Competitive Intelligence
You are well-versed in the drone data market and the competition. You understand market trends, customer behavior, and the strategies of competitors. This knowledge is invaluable for shaping a company’s growth strategy. You will provide insights into opportunities and threats, helping the organization make informed decisions.

- Proven Revenue Growth: Demonstrated success in driving revenue growth on a global scale, showcasing a track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets. The Global Sales Manager should be adept at developing and executing effective sales strategies to maximize profitability.
- GIS Knowledge: A Global Sales Manager at Globhe should have a strong understanding of GIS technology and its applications, as this knowledge is integral to effectively selling drone data solutions in various industries such as mapping, surveying, and spatial analysis.
- Growth Mindset: An adaptable and forward-thinking mindset that embraces challenges as opportunities for learning and improvement. You should be proactive in seeking out innovative solutions and strategies to foster the continuous growth of the sales team and the organization as a whole.
- Understanding of Marketplace Business Models: Comprehensive knowledge of marketplace dynamics, including various business models, is vital. You should understand how different industries and sectors operate and how they could benefit from using the Globhe marketplace, enabling you to tailor sales approaches to meet their specific needs and expectations of diverse clients in the drone data marketplace.
- +5 years of experience in a similar role.
- Exceptional verbal, written, and visual communication skills in English and other language skills are highly appreciated.
- Prior experience of raising capital in a startup/scaleup environment.
